Cole Thomerson is a Los Angeles–based pianist, vocal coach, and teacher currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the USC Thornton School of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences. A dedicated and versatile musician, he maintains an active performance and teaching career under the tutelage of Professor Kevin Fitz-Gerald.

He serves as a piano teacher at Octave Music Academy, where he works closely with young students to build strong technical and musical foundations. He also maintains a private studio of pianists and vocalists whose accomplishments include top prizes in major competitions, such as the GLAM High School Music Scholarship, and the 2025 Grand Prize Paris Virtuoso, and solo appearances with university orchestras. As a freelance collaborative pianist and vocal coach, he partners with instrumentalists, conductors, and singers for rehearsals, lessons, auditions, and competitions, bringing stylistic fluency and expressive insight to repertoire spanning baroque to contemporary works.

His international studies include the Gijón International Piano Festival, where he performed in recitals and appeared with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias. Additional festival appearances include the Paris International Music Academy, with performances in the Salle Cortot, and the Amalfi Coast Music and Arts Festival. He is also an alumnus of the Interlochen Arts Camp.

Cole previously served as a student accompanist for the LACHSA Concert Choir and Vocal Fundamentals program at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. He has presented a solo sophomore recital in Newman Hall and was admitted to the Music Teachers’ Association of California’s Young Composers Guild.
